Our Journey Through Time
From a simple idea to transforming how people think about money and business across Australia
The Beginning
sytheraquon started in a small shared workspace in Darwin with three passionate educators who noticed something troubling. Too many bright people were making poor financial decisions simply because nobody had taught them the fundamentals. We weren't trying to create another get-rich-quick scheme or investment advisory service.
- Launched our first workshop series at Frog Hollow Centre
- Developed core curriculum focusing on practical financial education
- Built partnerships with local community organizations
- Established our philosophy of long-term learning over quick fixes
Expanding Horizons
By 2022, we had learned something important about our approach. People didn't just need financial knowledge—they needed to think differently about money altogether. This led us to develop our entrepreneurial mindset programs, which became surprisingly popular among working professionals looking to understand business principles.
- Introduced comprehensive business thinking workshops
- Expanded to serve over 800 learners annually
- Created specialized programs for different learning styles
- Established mentorship networks connecting experienced business owners with learners
Growing Impact
Last year marked a significant shift in how we delivered education. We realized that effective financial and business education happens best in smaller, more focused groups where people can ask questions without feeling judged. This insight changed everything about how we structure our programs.
- Redesigned all programs around small cohort learning
- Launched alumni network supporting ongoing professional development
- Developed specialized tracks for different career stages
- Created resource library accessible to all program graduates
Looking Forward
As we move through 2025, we're focused on something that goes beyond traditional education. Financial literacy and business thinking aren't separate skills—they're interconnected ways of understanding how value gets created and preserved in our economy.
Our upcoming programs will help people develop these skills gradually, through practical application rather than theoretical lectures. We believe the best learning happens when people can immediately apply what they're discovering to their own situations.
